During our aerification this year we're doing a Drill and Fill on our old greens(#1-5,7,9,10)as can be seen here on #10. The Drill and Fill process helps get more sand down into the soil profile which will help the greens drain better. The benefit to you the golfer will be firmer/faster greens similar to our newer greens. In the middle picture drills drill holes into the greens and then in the bottom picture tubes next to the drills fill the holes with sand.
The greens are in really great shape as can be seen on #16. The aerification we're doing will help keep them in great shape, especially in the heat of the summer. The new Turf Pride boxes we're using on the back of the aerifiers helps save labor by dragging the cores off the green as we're aerifying, improving efficiency.

So far we've had a productive winter on the course here at Stonebridge. All dorment bermudagrass areas have been sprayed to remove weeds and give the course a cleaner look. At this time we're working on edging greens to remove bermudagrass contamination, upgrading bunkers by removing contaminates/adding additional sand where needed and constructing new t-signs on holes #13,15,17.
